1964 Charlie Hodge, 1968 Glenn Hall, 1969/70 Frank Mahovlich All-Star

NHL All-Star jersey worn by 3 different hockey greats in 4 separate All-Star games between 1964 and 1970. This jersey was first worn as number 25 by Charlie Hodge in 1964 and then again by Glenn Hall in 1968.  The number was then changed to 27 for Frank Mahovlich, who wore it in both the 1969 and 1970 All-Star games.

In 1964, Charlie Hodge won the Vezina Trophy for the first time in his career after going 33-18-11, with a 2.26 GAA, .920 save percentage, and 8 shutouts for the Montreal Canadiens. Hodge was chosen to play in the 1964 All-Star Game, which took place versus the Stanley Cup champion Toronto Maple Leafs on October 10, right before the start of the 1964-65 season.  Hodge played the second half of the game, getting credit for the win and a penalty in the 3-2 victory.

Glenn Hall then wore this jersey in the 1968 All-Star Game.  Hall won the second Vezina of his career in 1967, going 19-5-5, with a 2.38 GAA, .922 save percentage, and 2 shutouts for the Chicago Black Hawks.  For his efforts in the 1966-67 season, he was chosen to play in the 1968 All-Star Game, the last time the All-Star team was selected based on the previous season's play.  The 1968 All-Star Game was also the final time an All-Star team played against the previous season's Stanley Cup champion.  Hall played the 3rd period, giving up one goal and taking the loss.

In 1969, the NHL changed the All-Star game format, moving to two All-Star teams, one for each division.  Also, the players were selected based on performance during the current season.  For the 1969 All-Star Game, Frank Mahovlich was chosen to represent the East Division.  The game ended in a 3-3 tie, with Mahovlich scoring two goals and being named game MVP.  In 1970, Mahovlich again wore this jersey representing the East Division in a 4-1 win.
