Gerry McNeil was gifted this trophy to commemorate his accomplishments during the 1940s.  “Trophee commemoratif Georges Vezina don du Dr. Gustave Gauthier Chicoutimi” is engraved on the front of the bowl, which was most likely gifted for the 1949-50 season when Bill Durnan won the Vezina Trophy and McNeil maintained a 1.50 goals-against-average in six games.
