1982-83 Pete Peeters

Pete Peeters donned this Boston Bruins jersey during the best year of his career.  He finished his first season in Boston playing in 62 regular season games, going 40-11-9 with a 2.36 GAA, a .904 save percentage, and 8 shutouts, leading the Bruins to the best record in the NHL.  Peeters led the league in wins, GAA, and shutouts.  At one point during the season, Peeters went 31 games without a loss.  In the playoffs, Peeters went 9-8 with a 3.57 GAA, eventually losing to Stanley Cup winners, the New York Islanders, in the Conference Finals.  Peeters was awarded the only Vezina Trophy of his career and finished second to Wayne Gretzky for league MVP.
