1972-74 Doug Favell & Bernie Parent

Philadelphia Flyers jersey worn by Bernie Parent during the 1973-74 season, which culminated with the Flyers first Stanley Cup victory in franchise history.  Parent played in 73 games during the regular season, winning a career-high 47 games with a 1.89 GAA and 12 shutouts, leading the league in all major statistical categories.  He went 12-5 with a 2.02 GAA and 2 shutouts in the playoffs, winning the Conn Smythe as playoff MVP.  Parent won his first of two Vezina Trophies, sharing the award with Tony Esposito of the Chicago Blackhawks.  This is the only year that goalies from two teams shared the award.  Parent was also runner up to Phil Esposito for the Hart Trophy.  Bernie Parent was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1984.
