Dave Kerr used this stick while defending the goal of the New York Rangers during the 1939-40 NHL season.  Kerr played all 48 games that regular season, going 27-11-10 with a 1.54 GAA and 8 shutouts.  In the playoffs, Kerr went 8-4 with a 1.56 GAA and 3 shutouts, leading the Rangers to their third Stanley Cup by defeating the Toronto Maple Leafs in the Finals.  For his efforts, Kerr won the 1940 Vezina Trophy, the only one of his career.
